Bishop Michael D. Brown
Bishop Michael D. Brown was born in Seaford, Delaware to Deacon George Sr. and Missionary Ernestine Brown. He has four brothers and one sister. He currently resides in Fort Pierce, Florida with his wife Sherita Brown "Lady Brown" married over 20 years along with their four daughters; Michelle, Tonya, Taisha and Andrea and three grandchildren.
At the age of fifteen, Bishop Brown accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and personal savior while attending the Clarence Street Church of God under the leadership of the late L.O. Wynn. Not only did he Lord save Bishop Brown at this age, but called him to preach the gospel as well. He began his preaching ministry in the Delaware State Prison System also at this age.
In 1987 he was ordained by Bishop R.T. Robinson through the Twentieth Century Gospel Crusades of America. Also in that year, God elevated Bishop Brown as he was called to co-pastor the Federalsburg Revival Temple in Federalsburg, Maryland under the leadership of Bishop James Darrell Robinson, Sr.
As God continued to anoint him, he was called to Fort Pierce, Florida by the late Bishop Horace Hawes to pastor Gospel Temple Church of God International in 1996. In February 2000 under the leadership of Bishop Brown, the church was restructured as it is now known as New Beginning Ministries of Gospel Temple.
On March 13, 2004, Pastor Brown was consecrated as a Bishop by the Ruwach Board of Bishops.
Bishop Brown is a man of great character and uses nothing but God's given wisdom to shepherd his flock. One of his favorite mottos is “Don’t wait ‘til the battle is over, SHOUT NOW!”
